Clash of Clans Private Servers January 2017 (Android & iOS)

It’s weeks an actual update for these private servers were released. However, just a day before I’d issue joining the previous Clash of Clans Private Servers December 2016. Now here are the updated Clash of Clans private servers January 2017. 😉

I found the newer Clash of Clans mod APK as well as the newer DNS servers for iOS. However, there’s also the ‘Clash of Clans Private Server Switcher‘ which requires root but is always updated by its developers. You can download each of these and know all the steps just below.

For a couple of hours, I couldn’t get connected to any of the old private servers, but now with the newer switcher, it’s working again. All you need to do is follow all the steps properly.

Remember, if you’re using Android, I prefer having your device rooted so that you can use the switcher instead of the mod APKs. The switcher always works great as there are monthly or even weekly updates for proper maintenance. If you’re running iOS, you just gotta connect through DNS servers. 😀

Let’s leave things aside, here’s are some of the epic features of Clash of Clans Private Servers January 2017:

  • Unlimited Gold, Elixir & Gems.
  • Create or join a clan.
  • Have clan wars.
  • You can friendly-attack your clanmates.
  • Play against real players.
  • Major bug fixes along with newer features.

Steps for Android:

If you’re using download, you can directly use the modded APK if your device is not rooted. However, I prefer the switcher over this. Here are the steps you need to follow to connect to a private server.

  1. Download ‘Clash of Clans Private Server Switcher’.
  2. Install the downloaded .apk and open it.
  3. You’ll be asked for root permissions, just ‘allow’ access.
  4. Now, you’ll find a list of server names along with their IP addresses.
  5. Just tap on any one of them, and tap on connect.

Note: Please safeguard your Clash of Clans account/progress by logging in to your Google account first, so that you don’t need your current account progress and levels. 😀

Steps for iOS:

If you’re using iOS, the only method is through DNS servers. You can follow these steps to try to get yourself connected to a private server.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Then go WiFi options.
  3. Tap on the ‘i’ icon beside your connected WiFi network.
  4. Then tap on Static IP, and fill with your IP address, but use any DNS server from the list below.
DNS List:

DNS 1:
DNS 2:

That’s all for Clash of Clans private servers January 2017. That’s the update, all you need to do is re-download the updated APKs and use the updated DNS servers. For Android, you can either download the mod APK or use the private server switcher. If you’re on an iDevice, you need to connect via DNS which redirects you to a custom server.

If you had any problems while following the steps, you can mention it in the comments. You can also comment any inquiries in the comments section, and make sure to share this post with your friends.
